Erlend is a serial entrepreneur and an investor with more than a decade of experience in business development, sales, marketing and project management. As the founder of Affix, he gives investors in early stage companies the benefit of his experience and expertise.
Erlend is the chairman of a venture fund named Venture Factory Capital. The fund backs the operational company, Venture Factory, which develops and commercializes new digital services and online stores. They cover the whole value chain from idea creation, design, development, marketing, and operations. The fund and the company offer investors a unique combination of great ideas, a strong development team, digital marketing skills, and capital to successfully develop and operate digital services and online stores.
As a board member of betaFACTORY, Erlend assists great startups that come through their accelerator program. betaFACTORY is a pure startup accelerator, modeled after Techstars and Y Combinator in the US. They are an independent accelerator and have partnerships with most of the key players in the Norwegian startup ecosystem.
Erlend is a board member of The Norwegian Business Angel Network. NorBAN collects Norway's best private investors in a national forum and provides, as Business Angel investor, access to the leading information database for early stage investment opportunities. It also provides information that helps increase investor insight and expertise.
Prior to starting his own consulting company, Erlend was a part owner and senior member of the management team in the Eneas Group. The company was Scandinavia`s fastest growing company in the energy service sector from 2005 through 2010, when the company was bought for more than $60 million.
Affix´ main focus is to work with investors and create a structure for early stage investments in Norwegian companies. This will serve both entrepreneurs and the startup ecosystem well. Affix also has part ownership in several startups through their incubator type program.
Erlend lives in Oslo, Norway, and cyber commutes extensively to New York, San Francisco and wherever he is needed.
